FAQ

Common questions about our international copywriting services.

Adaptation, not translation. Translation converts words from one language to another while preserving the original meaning. Adaptation rebuilds the argument for a different audience. Sometimes that means the French version makes a different primary claim than the English version -- because a different claim is more persuasive in that market. We are always working from strategy, not from the source document alone.
Global Max covers up to four markets within a single project. For five or more markets simultaneously, contact us to discuss a custom arrangement. We have delivered projects across twelve markets from a single strategic brief, but projects of that size require a dedicated intake call before scope can be confirmed.
Our primary output languages are English and French. For other languages, we develop the strategic argument and full copy in English or French, then work with certified native-language partners for the language-specific output. Quality control on all language versions remains with us. Additional language layers can be added via the add-on.
All market versions within a project are delivered together in one package. If you need staggered delivery -- one market first, then others -- we can accommodate that with priority scheduling. The timeline shown is for simultaneous delivery of all included markets.
Every deliverable for cross-market projects comes with margin notes explaining specific choices. Why a phrase used in the French version would not work in the German version. Which cultural reference was deliberately avoided in the Japanese adaptation. What buyer assumption is baked into the opening argument for the US version. These notes allow your teams to make informed adaptations later without accidentally breaking the logic.
Within 1-2 business days, we send a project brief template tailored to your service selection. You complete and return it. The strategy session is scheduled from there. Work begins from brief sign-off, not from payment date.
Absolutely. The Global Starter is designed for single-market or single-service projects. Many clients start there before moving to Pro or Max. Returning clients receive preferential scheduling and a credit toward subsequent projects.
Yes. NDA is standard with Global Max. For Starter and Pro projects, an NDA is available on request before project start. Our standard Terms of Service include a mutual confidentiality clause.
